Crohn’s Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Surgery, and Ulcerative ColitisThe management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease is constantly evolving. The continued introduction of new biologic therapies has provided gastroenterologists with more effective options in the medical management of this disease. However, a significant number of patients will still require surgery for complications of their disease, or for medically refractive disease. In this session we will review the indications for surgery, as well as the various surgical procedures performed.
